An Evening in Tuscany without the Airfare

The 2012 Northern Lights Health Foundation Spring Fling, presented by Syncrude Canada, is taking place on Saturday, March 24th at MacDonald Island Park.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Spring Fling and the community will be celebrating in style. “An Evening in Tuscany,” explains Gayle Phillips, Director of Development for the Northern Lights Health Foundation. “It is a black tie gala that is inspired by tastes and visions of Italy.”

The Northern Lights Health Foundation is still actively recruiting volunteers for the event. “It requires many dedicated community volunteers to make these events successful,” says Phillips. Various opportunities are available starting the morning of Friday, March 23rd until the afternoon of Sunday, March 25th.  “We have shifts available to assist in setting up the venue, participate in the night of the event and help pack it all away when it’s over.”

Spring Fling organizers expect over 500 guests to indulge in the Tuscan experience. There are still sponsorship opportunities for the event and tickets will be available soon.

Established in 1985 the Northern Lights Health Foundation exists to provide funds to support and assist Alberta Health Services’ efforts within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in achieving its goals and objectives.
